The hard drive is usually divided into various partitions or volumes. Each partition is assigned an alphabet by Windows by which it is recognized. You have the option of partitioning the hard drive as per your desires and making as many partitions as you want. Any hard disk space which isn’t in any partition is labeled unallocated. This unallocated space can’t be used unless a new volume is created for it or it is merged into an existing partition. If you want to delete disk partition for any reason, you need to utilize the Disk Management tool in Windows or make use of a third-party data erasure tool.
