My daughter treated my Transformer 4GB USB drive as a toy. She threw it all over the house, and now it is broken. It is still recognized by my computer, but I cannot open it. The property information is 0 bytes. I’m very worried because there are many valuable photos and office documents on it. Can anybody think of a way to get my data back? Thanks.
Your Transformer USB drive is corrupted, and you will be unable to access the data on it. However, this problem can be solved because the drive can still be connected to your computer. Here I will recommend the following data recovery program to retrieve data from your Transformer USB drive: Recoverit, or Recoverit for Mac. This tool offers the best solution to retrieving lost, deleted, formatted, or even damaged files including pictures, document files, audio files, and videos from your Transformer USB drive. In your case, this program is a perfect Transformer USB drive recovery utility.
Download the free version to scan your Transformer USB drive so that you can check whether Recoverit Transformer USB Drive Recovery will help or not.
Let’s use the Windows version as an example. Mac users please read the Mac version guide to recover files from Transformer USB drive here: Recover Deleted Files from USB Flash Drive on Mac OS X. Now, connect your Transformer USB drive to your computer, launch Recoverit data recovery program and follow the next simple steps to recover your lost files from the USB drive.
To recover data from the Transformer USB drive, you can select the option "External Devices Recovery" to start USB drive data recovery.
Now the program will show all hard drives on your PC, including your Transformer USB drive. Select the drive letter and click "Start" to begin the scan.
A quick scan of the selected USB drive will automatically start. After it, if you find the wanted files nowhere, please turn to the "All-Around Recovery" mode for more files. It will take a longer time.
The files will be listed after the scan. You can preview the found files, choose the data you want and click on "Recover" to get all you need back.
Note: To maintain the safety of your files, please do not save files back onto your Transformer USB drive.
