Is your Internet Explorer always slow during browsing? Is it always crashed? Does it frequently stop working or responding? Do you receive error messages that indicate that Internet Explorer has "encountered a problem and needs to close"? If your problem happens because of incompatible or damaged Internet Explorer settings or some add-ons, you can solve this problem easily by Internet Explorer reset. Follow the steps to reset Internet Explorer.

How to Reset Internet Explorer Settings

There is something you need to attend before resetting:

1. Before resetting, you should know that all add-ons and customizations are deleted, and you start with a fresh version of Internet Explorer once you reset Internet Explorer settings.

2. Exit all running programs, Internet Explorer is included.

Step 1 Click to Search

For Windows XP users, please click Start > Run > Type the command inetcpl.cpl in the Open box > press ENTER.

For Windows Vista users, click Start, type the command inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search box> press ENTER.

The Internet Options dialog box appears.

Step 2 Hit the Advanced tab.

Step 3 Click Reset in settings of Reset Internet Explorer

Step 4 The settings will start to reset, and when it's finished, hit "Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings".

Step 5 For the process to complete you'll need to restart Internet Explorer.
