Step 1Enter BIOS Settings
1. Restart your computer
Click and go to Start Menu → Power → Restart.
2. Press the Hotkey
As soon as the brand LOGO appears during reboot, repeatedly press the designated hotkey (3-4 times per second, for about 5 seconds).

Step 2Adjust Boot Priority
1. Locate the Boot Menu
Navigate to the top menu bar by using the arrow keys. Look for the "Boot", "Boot Order", "Boot Priority", or "Startup" tabs.
2. Identify the New Disk
Look for your new drive in the list based on the following information:
• Model Name: e.g., Samsung SSD 970 EVO, WD Blue, Kingston.
• Capacity: e.g., 500GB, 1TB (the new disk is usually larger).
• Interface Type: NVMe (M.2) or SATA.
3. Move to 1st Place
Select the new disk and move it to the top (1st) position by using the + / - keys, F5 / F6, or Enter key.
1st Boot Device: Samsung SSD 970 EVO (New Disk)
2nd Boot Device: WD Blue 500GB (Old Disk)
Step 3Save and Restart
1. Save Settings
There are 2 different ways to save the settings:
• Way 1: Press F10 (most brands) or F4 (ASUS/Gigabyte).
• Way 2: Navigate to the "Exit" or "Save & Exit" menu and select "Save Changes and Exit".
2. Confirm and Wait
Select "Yes" or "OK" in the pop-up. The computer will restart automatically.
3. Verify Success
You have succeeded once you see the Windows Login Screen.
Troubleshooting (FAQ)
• Cannot enter BIOS: Try pressing the hotkey earlier while rebooting or holding the Shift key while clicking "Restart".
• Black screen/No boot: Re-enter BIOS and ensure the new disk is definitely set as the 1st priority.
• "No Bootable Device" error: Check the physical connection of the new disk; try re-plugging the data and power cables.
