Computer programs can crash or behave unusually for a multitude of reasons, most often due to an error in the program, your operating system, or your drivers. You don't need to worry about a single crash if the program works the next time you use it, but if the same problem happens over and over, try updating your software or undoing any recent changes to your system.
Please kindly try the following methods:
- Disconnect all USB external storage devices from the machine and try again.
- Reinstall Wondershare Recoverit to have a try.

If Recoverit still crashes, please kindly contact the support team to update the program to the Technical version.
If the program always crashes at a certain point during the scanning, just pause the scanning before the crash. Then you can click the "Recover" button to recover part of the data.

For Windows:
The logs are located in the following folder. You’d better compress the logs in the folder before sending it to us for there may be several logs.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Wondershare\Recoverit\log
For Mac:
Click Go on the top menu of the Mac, press the Option key on the keyboard to display the Library option in the drop-down list, select Library, go to Logs>Diagnostic Reports.
Then locate the log file titled Wondershare Recoverit for Mac.crash.
Please try to recover data less than 10G each time. Sometimes the program will crash if too much data gets recovered at the same time.
