Step 7: Choose “Paths.” Note the location beside “Backups.” All backups are stored in this directory. The default path is “C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice.org\Version number\user\backup.”
Step 8: Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the backup directory. Opening any folder opens Windows Explorer.
Step 9: Double-click the appropriate file to open it.
Step 10: Save it to your desired location and continue editing the document.
