Keep associated files when the recording workflow creates them: sidecars, metadata, and companion audio may belong with the clips. Archive separately recorded sound, camera reports, look files, and the editing project alongside the relevant production records. Do not assume every camera generates the same companion files.

Keep names and folder organization on the original camera medium unchanged. Fujifilm's handling guidance specifically cautions against renaming or deleting its recording folders and files from a computer. Apply organizational labels outside the preserved camera folder tree instead.
