Resetting PCs has become one of the staple methods to get rid of minor errors and bugs in most Windows computers. This enables users to reset their devices to their factory settings while retaining all the data. Traditionally, a drive reformat does this job but this requires transferring of data into a storage device as this process wipes out all the data in the PC. This has made this new feature of Windows 10 very ideal. However, there are times when you're unable to reset your PC because of errors. A common error you may encounter is one with prompt "Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing."
This error may be due to inactive or lost partitions, defective HDD or SDD, corrupted boot configurations, etc. It may occur in either Windows 8 or 10.
