How to Fix Corrupted Database Data Error on PS4

I’ve been having a corrupt data issue on Modern Warfare (PS4.) I did a Google & Reddit search but didn’t get many similar results. I’ve been having this issue where Modern Warfare keeps kicking me out of session’s straight back to the XMB saying my game data is corrupt, but then it lets me jump right back into the game and get halfway into a match before doing it again. If it doesn’t do that, it freezes at the end of the match scoreboard and I have to close the application and relaunch it. I’ve tried deleting the game and downloading, initializing my PS4 and downloading everything just in case it was my PS4 and not my game, and rebuild my Database in safe mode but I haven’t had any success. Does anyone have the same problem or a fix to the problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The PS4 disc corrupted data, as the name implies is an error linked to the hard drive used. In this error, it could be the bad sectors, or corrupted partition or the whole corrupted disk that has led to data corruption. This error may also show up as ‘the database is corrupted’ or ‘Corrupted Data - Cannot load the saved data because it is corrupted’. In all the mentioned cases, the result is you cannot play the game on PS4. This article will help you to understand the concept behind PS4 disk corrupted data and methods to avoid data loss.

This article will let you know about the information linked to the corrupted database and how to fix it along with the insights about corrupted data on PS4, a viable solution to fix it, and how to avoid data loss on PS4. Here are the topics that would be discussed in detail.

Part 1: What Are Symptoms of Corrupted Database?

Before heading towards fixing the corrupted database on PS4 or resolving the error i.e. PS4 corrupted data disc, let’s get familiar with the database itself. In simple words, it is the collection of data related to the device and in the case of PS4, it is the set information-carrying all details about the PlayStation. While performing any task on the data i.e. editing, changing, or updating, this is done via interaction between inclined operation and the database. At times, when you are facing the PS4 disk corrupted data error, you won’t access the data on the database. Here are some of the symptoms that may indicate the corrupted database.

  1. If the database is corrupted, a warning message is generated via PS4 and the device automatically restarts to fix the issue.

  1. This error may arise due to the underlying platform corruption. In case of any technical default PS4 as a platform, the database linked to all games would be corrupted.
  2. Sometimes it is the file header facing technicalities. It is unable to read or locate the files. Hence, causing database corruption.
  3. Any bad sector or corrupted partition of the storage device would also lead to a corrupted database.
  4. Sudden power outage
  5. Hardware failure is another potential cause of database corruption. It can be due to physical damage to the hard drive.

Part 3: How to Fix Corrupted Database on PS4?

Once you know about the symptoms and underlying causes that result in database corruption, then the next step is to find out a quick fix solution to resolve corrupted data ps4 disc issues. In the case of a corrupted database, you are still able to turn on the device. One of the proven solutions to get rid of this error is by recreating the database. Part 7: How to Avoid Data Loss on PS4?

In case of any permanent damage to hard drive or database corruption, it is viable to protect the data present on the database. In this regard, you would need some data saving techniques to avoid data loss. Here are two of the techniques. One is the up-gradation of PS4 to a larger drive and second is using third-party application software to recover the lost data.

Method 1. Upgrade PS4 to a Larger HDD

The most viable method to protect data from data loss is via creating backups. These backups will save all the data. Using a small storage media would trouble saving large backups. So it is advised to upgrade the PS4 to a larger HDD. The built-in space of PS4 is small and soon it gets out of space the time you start downloading games, demos, and HD videos. With up-gradation to a larger hard drive, you can save data in bulk.

Method 2. Recover Lost Files with Data Recovery Software

When it comes to data recovery, you always need a third party application software to work for you. In this context, the best data recovery software in the market is Recoverit data recovery. The software would help you in time if you have lost the data from the PS4 external drive. It will help to recover all the lost/deleted files in NTFS, FAT, HFS+ formats. Here is how you can use the software.

Step 1: Connect the PS4 external hard drive to your device.

Step 2: Download and install recoverit data recovery software. Once installed, launch the software on your device.

Step 3: In the main menu of the software, select the PS4 external hard drive as source drive i.e. the drive you have lost your data. Select a destination location for saving the recovered files. Click start to continue.

Hence, be it the latest technology apparatus, they are prone to errors. So as the case with PS4. It is the eighth generation gaming console launched by Sony. While playing games on the console, you can confront error, the most common one is PS4 corrupted data disc. This corrupted data disc error can be due to database corruption or corrupted data related to a particular game. In both cases, the PS4 won’t allow you to continue playing the game. This article is all about the symptoms and causes of both the database corruption and data corruption limited to a single game. Moreover, solutions for fixing both issues are explained in detail. A third party application software i.e. Recoverit data recovery is also introduced to recover the lost/deleted data.
