Ying Hua is a technology editor for several tech companies based in Shenzhen, China. Prior to this role, he was Junior Editor and Asia technology editor based in Hong Kong where he oversaw the coverage of technology news of several publications, leading a team of reporters covering the fast-growing and vibrant tech scenes from China to Korea, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. He has a significant experience covering the technology industry. Prior to this role, he was a reporter and editor for small Chinese/Hindu publications covering business news in Beijing and Seoul.
Ying Hua was born and raised in Shanghai China, and was transplanted to the Shenzhen suburbs during his junior year of College. After his graduation from Shanghai High School International Division, Ying taught for two years, and then entered into a career in the tech industry as a Junior Editor.
Ying is an avid reader, musician, and outdoor enthusiast. His favorite genre is historical fiction. He plays piano, and loves to watch movies, go for bike rides, practice Moo Sool Do (a Korean combined martial art), and cross-country ski. Ying is also particularly interested in helping those with special needs, especially those on the autism spectrum.
